I’m using Outlook Express to send and receive my email during office hours and it is necessary for me to backup the important emails periodically. I have spent a lot of time to search the free software to backup the email from Outlook Express, at last I found this software is only allowed 30 days trials, it is not very useful because I can’t backup my email after one month because this software will be expired and even you reinstall also cannot use at all.

Luckily my friend taught me how to backup Outlook Express email without software installation, you can follow the following steps to backup your Outlook Express email.

1. Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Option (Under Folder Option dialog box, go to View tab, tick “Show hidden files and folders” and uncheck “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)”

2. C Drive > Documents and Settings > (your computer account name) > Local Settings > Application Data > Identities > {39594A78-5E62-4AE2-A0CF-C643E3E6D091} > Microsoft > Outlook Express (Copy all the data under this folder)

NOTE: {39594A78-5E62-4AE2-A0CF-C643E3E6D091} Different computer has different code, which means that your code is not same as mine

If you want to recover the email, follow the same steps, copy the the email which has been backup and paste to the Outlook Express folder (refer step 2) and overwrite the existing files.
