I Need Help from Moving Company

I just tendered my resignation last month because I will run a small business together with my hometown friends by next month. We will going to open small shop to sell some consumer goods outside of my hometown, it is hundred kilometer far from my birth place.

Although the place which we will staying is not very far from our hometown, but I still need call moving company to assist us move the necessary things like computer table, bed, television, computer, wardrobe and many others to the new place. As we are running small business, so we think that we will stay for some time in this strange place, may be 5-10 years long, that’s the reason why we need to move many things.

My friend is planning want move his motorcycle as well, so he also need somebody to help him to do auto shipping for his motorcycle. May be you will ask why not he drive to new place, this is because he have to spend at least 3 hours to reach the new place, some more need to drive in the highway road, it is very dangerous.

So far we don’t need any international mover because our business is focusing on local market only. May be one find day we successfully expand our business globally, and then we will search for one of the professional international movers to help us at that time. Perhaps we will send few persons to outside of our country to run this business. LOL

If my business runs smoothly, then I will have a plan to buy a home or apartment at there, hence we do not the rent the house as what we are doing now. I just hope we can success in our new career in near future, then we have extra money to buy new home too.

Don’t Worry, Blogitive Still Global

I was wondering why there is no any offer comes out at Blogitive since these two weeks after Blogitive requested bloggers to update their Tax Info (non U.S bloggers no need to fill in Tax info, just tick “I am NOT an American citizen”).

Why I’m guessing is may be Blogitive also do the location segmentation like PPP, there is be no less offers for non U.S bloggers. Honestly, I dislike location segmentation like PPP has been done, obviously we already can seen less opps are available in the marketplace for non US blogger, especially Asia blogger. I don’t know, may be some of you agreed location segmentation, but I strongly not welcome for this feature.

This is what I worry about Blogitive will do the same like PPP, and then I wrote them an email yesterday and I got the reply as below:-

“Don’t worry, we’re still global — we’re just having a slow week as we work on resolving some client campaign issues due to the recent changes. Things should be back to normal shortly.”

I hope this is true, I’m so worry to lose another source of online income. In addition, I’m supporter of Blogitive all along.

How to Create New Blog Using WordPress Platform

My friend requested me to blog about how to create a new blog using WordPress platform. I assumed you already configure your domain name and web hosting. First, you have to download two things, there are Filezilla and WordPress.

What is Filezilla? FileZilla is a fast and reliable FTP client and server with lots of useful features and an intuitive interface.

What is WordPress? WordPress is a semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability.

After finished download of Filezilla and WordPress, install Filezilla and unzip WordPress. After installed filezilla, look at the top area of filezilla (below the menu bar), can you see Host, User Name, Password and Port? Yes, that’s right. Type the following:-

1. Host: www.abc.com (your domain name)
2. User: eric (your domain name’s login name)
3. Password: 1234 (your domain name’s password)
4. Port: Leave it blank

And then click QuickConnect button to connect to your host server. After connected, can you see public_html folder? Yes, double click to enter to this folder. Now it is time to upload your wordpress under this folder, but you have to configure the database name, user name and password before uploading. So, how to configure? See below:-

1. Open the WordPress folder (just now you have unzip wordpress, right? That’s the folder which you need to open it)
2. Can you see wp-config-sample.php? Yes, rename to wp-config.php (eliminate the –sample this word)
3. Right click wp-config.php, open with notepad.
4. Configure your database name, MYSQL user name and password that I highlighted in red color. (note: you have to create your database name and MYSQL user name first before you can change the following details, this can be done under cpanel, for example: http://www.abc.com/cpanel)

define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘abc_wordpress‘); // The name of the database
define(‘DB_USER’, ‘abc_eric‘); // Your MySQL username
define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘1234‘); // …and password
define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘localhost’); // 99% chance you won’t need to change this value
define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8′);
define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

After done the configuration, then you can start upload WordPress to your hosting. If you finished upload WordPress to your hosting, locate wp-content/themes (this is a place where you can install your WordPress theme(s)). How about plugin installation? Same thing, locate wp-content/plugins where you can install your WordPress plugin(s) here.
