Web Tool to Create Animated Favicon

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

No wonder I saw some of the blogs are using animated favicon recently, now I know they actually are using the wed tool to create still/animated favicons from regular images at html-kit.com/favicon.

It is very simple to create animated favicon, firstly you need to create an image for the size of 16px x 16px, and then browse this created image from the website, type your scrolling text if required, tick the “Animate Favicon” if you want to create animated favicon, finally click on the “Generate FavIcon.ico” button. Take a few second to wait for generating favicon, then you should be able to download the file after that.

Please read the ReadMe text file from the download files to know what are those coding to be pasted on your blog.

Important to Have “Home” Button in Your Website/Blog

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

You may notice that some of the websites having a “Home” button, when you click on this button, it will bring you to the homepage or index page. If a website is without “Home” button, normally the web designer will use the logo/title of website to act as “Home” button.

Do you think it is important to have “Home” button for your website? I may say YES, it is really important. Initially my blog is without “Home” button, I use my title of my blog to act as “Home” button. That day my friend entered to my blog, she found that there is no “Home” button bring her back to homepage, when she clicked on another pages, she was get stuck in that page after that and she told me that she just used the Back button of the Internet Explorer to bring her back to homepage, actually she is not aware that she actually can click my title of blog to bring her back to homepage.

Yes, this might be happen for some visitors who might not be aware like my friend. That’s the reason I create a “Home” button in my blog after that so that people can easily find the “Home” button. Frankly speaking it is depending on you how to manage the navigation button so that people can view your pages so that they will not get stuck in certain page. I personally suggest to have “Home” button is more better. What do you think?

Special Web Design - Samsung Mobile

Samsung MobileA very out of the ordinary web design - Samsung Mobile. This web site is created using Micromedia Flash, the most special part that I like is the two pop up window will separately displayed but actually there are integrated and work together to display the contents of the site.

I have been entered so many websites for 6-7 years long, I haver never seen this type of design until today, this is only one website that I have found with special design. Don’t miss the chance to explore it, I’m sure that you will surprise like me at first time.

vianet.it - New Media Design

Monday, March 19th, 2007

vianet.itIn the past few years ago, actually I already know this website. Nothing to talk about other things pertaining to this website, I simply want to share with you about the design of this website because I like it a lot.

A very creative, clean and colorful website, vianet.it - New Media Design, using JavaScript and DHTML to design their website. I was thinking that they have used Adobe Illustrator to draw the cute cartons. Although it look simple but it is with full of good imagination and creativity of creating the cartons.

Nothing much information in this website, all their contents are presented in one page, this is one of the part that I like because I’m quite admired the way how they have done for the visual presentation of the website.

Just take a look and learn how to design a website with less contents but with creative way. I believe that you can learn something from there.
