Just follow the following steps to configure your Firefox in order to speed up Firefox:-

Tip 1 [Step 1]: Type “about:config” into the Firexfox’s address bar and press Enter. Find the following Preference Name or you can copy the following Preference Name and then paste it into the Filter text box.

1) network.http.pipelining,
2) network.http.proxy.pipelining,
3) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Tip 1 [Step 2]: Alter the entries as follows:

1) Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
2) Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
3) Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means that it will make 30 requests at once.

Tip 2: Change the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

- Right-click anywhere on the Firefox browser and select New > Integer.
- Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”. This value reduces the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

First, you must download ResHack software. After download, extra from zip and open ResHack. Try to locate msgsres.dll file under C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger and open by using REsHack.

1. To Remove Advertisement at the bottom of MSN Chat interface
Open 4004-920 source, press Ctrl+F to find id=atom(adbannergutter), change layoutpos=bottom to layoutpos=none as below.

2. To Remove Advertisement at the bottom of MSN Main Interface
Open 4004-923, press Ctrl+F to find ID=Atom(SSConstrainer), change layoutpos=top to layoutpos=none as below.

3. To Remove the Search Bar at the bottom of MSN Main Interface
Open 4004-923, press Ctrl+F to find idSearchContainer, change change layoutpos=bottom to layoutpos=none as below.

After all the above already done, please be reminded that you must save msgsres.dll file. Restart your MSN then you will find the advertisements already disappeared. Congratulation! You are done.

I’m using Outlook Express to send and receive my email during office hours and it is necessary for me to backup the important emails periodically. I have spent a lot of time to search the free software to backup the email from Outlook Express, at last I found this software is only allowed 30 days trials, it is not very useful because I can’t backup my email after one month because this software will be expired and even you reinstall also cannot use at all.

Luckily my friend taught me how to backup Outlook Express email without software installation, you can follow the following steps to backup your Outlook Express email.

1. Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Option (Under Folder Option dialog box, go to View tab, tick “Show hidden files and folders” and uncheck “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)”

2. C Drive > Documents and Settings > (your computer account name) > Local Settings > Application Data > Identities > {39594A78-5E62-4AE2-A0CF-C643E3E6D091} > Microsoft > Outlook Express (Copy all the data under this folder)

NOTE: {39594A78-5E62-4AE2-A0CF-C643E3E6D091} Different computer has different code, which means that your code is not same as mine

If you want to recover the email, follow the same steps, copy the the email which has been backup and paste to the Outlook Express folder (refer step 2) and overwrite the existing files.

Do you notice that Windows XP already has Original version of Windows Messenger? When you install Windows Messenger 6.0 or latest version of Windows Live Messenger which is downloaded from Internet, it cannot overwrite the files of Original version of Windows Messenger, so you will find two softwares are installed under your program file.

Most of the time I will remove the original version of Windows Messenger and install Windows Live Messenger, you can follow the following steps to remove the original Windows Messenger.

1. Click on “Start” and choose “Run”
2. Copy and paste the following code to “Run” and press Enter key, that’s all.
