vLOG is my third blog which I blog about myself and my life, it seem like my daily book but the only thing is I made it public instead of private. Why it called vLOG? Actually there is no meaning for this blog name, I simply like this name.

I know maintain many blogs is not easy job, but no choice, I want to make more money using blog, frankly speaking I only blog for money. Like I said before, if you want to make more money, you better buy your own domain and hosting.

My first blog is using blogspot, honestly later I will slowly neglect this blog because I have no mood to blog for this blogspot due to the error label count. Do you know error label count? For example, I have 2 posts under label “computer”, but the label showed label count 3. In fact there are only 2 posts under this label, if I delete the label for these 2 posts and use another label said “Information Technology”, but the label “computer” showed label count 1. Actually these 2 posts already assigned label “Information Technology”, right? Suppose there is label count for label “computer” is 0, right? If it is 0, this label should be automatically removed, right? That’s why I blog it anymore due to the messy on the label, it never showed correctly.

I’m taking about my first free WordPress theme is launching soon, suppose it should be completed now but I’m quite busy writing sponsored post to make some money first; another thing is I have no inspiration to design a unique layout now.

Anyway, I promise I will come out a new theme within this month, most probably will be completed by middle of this month. 13th July is my last day working at my current company because I already tendered my resignation, I will take one month for rest before join another company. I think I can do it this time. I’m sorry for the delay.

I felt strange why my blog suddenly showed files not found page, and then I tried to connect to my hosting by used Filezilla, I want to investigate what is the problem.
When I click on the public_html folder, all the files under this folder disappeared, I’m so worry because I didn’t backup my files before. In case I can’t retrieve back the files, I’m sure I will cry because painstaking effort gone suddenly.

I tried this way, I uploaded the wordpress files which is downloaded from wordpress.org again, and then uploaded the theme and plug in. After upload all the files, I refresh my blog page again. Wow! It showing the contents, which means that my blog database still existed. But when I click on the next page, or the title of the posts, it show page not found again. What the hell!

I kept trying the delete all the files under public_html and upload again, at last the result still the same. I fed up and no mood. When the time I give up and get ready to close the Filezilla software, I simply clicked several folders in my hosting. huh?! Why another public_html under public_ftp folder? This is wrong, I know public_html cannot put under public_ftp, and then I clicked on public_html under public_ftp to check the files inside this folder. Wow again! I got it, these are the files shouldn’t be put under public_ftp, they should be located at public_html.

After I move all the files to the right folder, yeah! Finally my blog worked fine, it is back to normal, thanks god!

My friend regretted due to the late buying of own domain name and hosting. She told me that many advertisers only look for own domain blog to write their reviews now. Obviously you can see less opportunities appeared in the PPP marketplace for free hosted blog like blogspot, myspace, etc, there are many opportunities are available for own domain blog only if compare with free hosted blog.

If you like to make money online, my advice is go to buy your own domain name and hosting for your blog, then you only have better chance to make more money. Please don’t too stingy with your money, you can use your online income to buy it. For your information, I only spent about $38 to maintain the vivivava.com every year. It’s been about 3 month’s times I started my blog (vivivava.com) but I have never think want to backup my blog database. Until I found my friend’s blog (cedricang.com) has been hacked by somebody, then I just started to backup my blog database. Anyway, he just started with his new domain name called goodboygonebad.com, let us give a support to him.

It is very easy to backup your blog database, log on to your hosting control panel, at the main page you will find “Backups” this icon. After clicking on “Backups” icon, you can see “Download a MYSQL database backup”, then you click on the database of your blog that you want to backup to download it.

It is advisable to backup your blog database at least 1-2 times per week. The number of time of backup your blog database is depending on your blog update, the more your update your blog, you should backup your blog database frequently. Anyway, the decision is yours, I let you to decide.

I believe that Cedric has been learned a lesson after his blog is hacked, how about you? Remember backup your blog database before you regret.

I’m Blog of a Day today! Actually I’m purposely waiting for good timing to submit my post before 12.00am at PPP time. I’m not sure whether my blog will be selected as Blog of a Day or not, I just simply guessing the time seconds when the time came to 11.59pm. May be you can set your time in your computer which is matched with PPP time, and then submit your post at 11.59 plus 15 seconds something. I do not know how you do normally, but this is my tactic for today. LOL
